Nutritious Foods for Kids

Let’s face it, it’s hard to discipline ourselves or even control what we eat or our diet once we’ve gotten used to it. Sometimes, it is pretty hard for us to change our deep friend heart attack diets to healthy salads.

If we probably stated having a healthier diet when we were kids, we won’t be carving for foods that are sure to cause us heart attacks. The next best thing to do is just help our children or kids prevent from having the same nasty food habits we have. I’m not saying that we should prevent them to eat junk food because that would be torture, we should just also teach them to eat healthier. This article will list down some of the foods that are fun or kids and healthy too.

• Teach them to eat oatmeal. Oatmeal is a healthy breakfast food because it is full of vitamin B, zinc, iron and calcium. Oatmeal offers energy for busy kids because it is loaded with carbohydrates and fiber. Before oatmeal really as hard to eat because they only provided one flavor, now there are lots of oatmeal that have different flavors that makes them delicious to eat.

• Health experts used to say that eggs are bad for your health. Now they say that an egg a day is healthy. How fickle their minds are. They say eggs are healthy because it is filled with Vitamin B, E and Zinc. Eggs are also great source of protein. Use your better judgment when feeding your kids eggs, because health experts have only said that it is the adult people that are ok to eat eggs daily.

• Not all fat foods are bad. One of them is the nut butters which is a great source for protein as well. However there are lots of kids that are allergic to peanuts, so you better watch out.

• Milks and yogurts should be introduced to your children’s diet. Mils are great source of calcium. Yogurts are great because of their cultures that are able to prevent colon cancer in the future. If your child doesn’t like yogurt, you can sweeten it up yourself by adding fruits.

• Melons provide beta-carotene, vitamin C and B and also calcium.

• Kids usually hate vegetables, but if you can brain wish them to eat one it is really good for their health. Especially broccoli because it is a great source of calcium, potassium, beta-carotene and Vitamin B.

These are only some of the foods that should be introduced to a kid’s diet. If you feel that you can still change your diet why not give these foods a try too.
