Weirder Ways to Diet
Dieting has become so popular that there are now different ways to lose weight that have been coming out of nowhere. Some of these diets are even so stupid that you wonder if people do decide to follow these diets. However if it works for them, why laugh at it? Here are a couple of diets that are really unusual.
Didactic diets:
The didactic diet is an alternative for post-graduates who have become
overweight. Instead of going to health spas they are provided with 3
choices of the
Historical diet, the Berlitz Diet or the Détente diet.
The historical makes the dieters eat unusual foods that have long been forgotten. They are foods that have become extinct. I.E. the dieter may have curds and whey for breakfast, gruel and grog for lunch, pease pudding and manna bread for dinner. WTF are these foods? Just thinking about them makes me want to go back to Atkins.
The détente diet will make you eat foods that are weird combinations. It makes you combine foods that don’t really go together. I.E., for dinner you may be asked to eat potato salad and peanut butter, hotdogs with chocolate sauce, ice cream with oyster sauce or cream of grapefruit soup. At least you won’t have a hard time looking for grog just to eat lunch.
The Berlitz diet is a really fun diet, but I don’t know if it will be effective. The Berlitz diet is based on the concept that weight increase is caused by the idea of food and not the food itself. I.E., the person will only gain weight when he eats a dozen glazed doughnuts because he knows they are glazed doughnuts. If he thinks eating glazed doughnuts is like eating a stick of celery then he won’t gain weight. The dieter who uses the Berlitz diet can eat anything he wants providing he thinks of it as a food he doesn’t know or understand of.
Daredevil Diets:
The novelty diet is a part of daredevil’s diet choices. This diet is
developed for people who have become bored on dieting because of the boring
food. So this diet makes him look for other foods from other countries that
are also used for dieting.
The container diet makes the dieter still purchase the usual foods he eats. However when it comes to dinner time he can only eat the boxes. This gives him a feeling of not depriving himself. The way I see it, if you eat boxes of your favorite food you look desperate. They may not taste good and not have the daily vitamins and nutrients they are surely low in calories. These dieters can also be proud that they help the society help recycle stuff.
The Polaroid diet is another daredevil diet. Do I need to say more about this diet? It’s exactly what you think it is, take pictures of your favorite food and eat it
After reading the following diets I’m pretty sure you’d be willing to lose weight longer rather than end up in the loony bins faster.
