Diet Breakers
Do you know that you may still be gaining weight even when you’re on a diet already?
This is entirely possible and actually happens – have happened and will happen – to many individuals because while they think that they’re following their diet regimen to the letter, they don’t realize that they’re committing a lot of mistakes at the same time and with results that are contrary to what their objectives are.
Sticking to a diet routine is hard work so you’ll surely feel very frustrated when the next time you try to weigh yourself, you realize that you’ve actually gained pounds, instead of losing them! It’s enough to put you off diet routines, isn’t it? To avoid such a thing from happening to you, especially when you’re on a diet already, here are a few things to keep in mind.
It’s Okay Because It’s My Favorite Food
Yes, if it’s just once, maybe eating your favorite food – even
if it’s lasagna and rich in calories and fats and all other things
that your body don’t need at all – is excusable and wouldn’t
have that much effect on your diet objectives but what if you eat them every
other day? Details like these may escape your notice especially when you’re
busy with work or taking the children. You might tell yourself “oh,
it’s okay to eat this, just this once, after all” without realizing
that you’ve been telling yourself the same thing for the whole month
already. And what do you see the next time you meet your best friend, the
weighing scale? An increase in weight, that’s what!
It’s Okay Because I’m Eating Out
Nuh-uh. Please, please, please, cease all these excuses when it comes to
sticking to your diet routine. If you truly want to lose weight then don’t
believe that a simple thing such as where you’re eating could actually
make a difference. Your body doesn’t care that you’re celebrating
an occasion and that’s why your fat and calorie intake is higher
than usual. All your bodies know that what you’re eating make them
expand rather than shrink.
It’s Okay Because One Bite Doesn’t Count
On your way to work, you see your husband eating a healthy slice of strawberry
cheesecake and you take a bite. On your way to the car, your daughter
asks you to taste the first ever dish she managed to cook with her own
hands:
greasy French fries! But of course you give in. On your way to the office,
your colleague offers you a small bit of chocolate doughnut..Do you get
the picture now? A nibble may not count if it’s just indeed a nibble
but multiply it by ten and what do you get? Another mistake that could
cost you big time when it comes to your diet objectives!
